WICAB: MSP - Multistrand Special winding wires for Submersible Motors
MSP winding wires are specially designed and developed for submersible application for high capacity motors. These wires provide better conductor to insulation ratio, higher operating temperature rise, flexibility, mechanically robust & sturdy, and inert / impervious to chemical environmental conditions like in processing and manufacturing plants, sea /ocean water, mines and collieries etc.
These are available in three types/category based upon the operating temperature;
-
MSP-140 PBW; (Operating temp up to 140 Deg C)
-
MSP-220 TFW; (Operating temp up to 220 Deg C)
-
MSP-320 TFH; (Operating temp up to 320 Deg C)
Sizes: The standard sizes for (copper conductor) electrical area are from 1.0 SQ mm to 35.0 SQ mm. Other sizes are available on request.
Conductor Construction: The Stranded/Bunched ABC (Annealed Bare copper) or TPC (Tin Plated copper); Standard strand diameter 0.30mm. (Details available on request)
Insulation: Polymers, fluorocarbons, Polyimide, Kapton, FHF, PTFE /Teflon insulated.
Application: These Special Winding wires are used for high temperature applications for submersible motors / Pumps and chemically inert environmental conditions like manufacturing /chemical processing plants, Sea / Ocean application, Oil drilling application, Mines and collieries etc; suitability for varied Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Chemical and Metallurgical properties and overall low physical dimensions.
Physical dimensions: The Outer diameter of these wires is comparatively small. The RTI (radial thickness to insulation) is 500µ(micron). Thus the overall OD is increased by 1.0 mm only with the geometrical diameter of the conductor (Geo CD + 2*RTI). Higher the size, the conductor to insulation area ratio is higher and better. This provides the flexibility in design, the small sizes of the stampings/motor; thus reduction in cost of motor and size of the pumps as well as the direct pump cost reduction.
Electrical Parameters: Operating Voltage up to 1000V, Dielectric test at 5KV, Breakdown Voltage more than 10KV, Leakage current less than 100ma at 2KV/ 1000m length, Megger > 2000 M Ohm at 1000 VDC, Volume resistivity more than 1017 cm;
Thermal Properties: Operating Temperature as defined above for the category with temperature rise of 25º C; in varied thermal environment (varied temperature conditions) electrical parameters VR, IR and Megger Value changes are in-significant.
Mechanical Properties: The Flexibility, Bending Radius, Abrasion Resistance are excellent. It can handle mechanical pressure of 5-6 PSI. The stress, duress and coercion properties are outstanding.
Chemical & Metallurgical Properties: The Insulation is quite stable in most of the chemical environment for submersible motor applications. The Electrical properties changes are minimum with longevity of time frame under different chemical conditions. Insulation will be almost Inert to Most of the known chemicals for MSP-220 TFW and MSP-320 TFH category of wires.
